Set the background color attribute to indicate the color to use when clearing the image buffer of the drawable associated with the renderer. The color approximation indicated by the pipeline state's color approximation index is applied to this color when the image buffer is cleared, and only the area identified by the renderer's clip list is given the background color. The alpha component of this background color is applied when the alpha buffer is cleared.
