TRiP98 oxygenation distribution format
Oxygenation files, aka "oxy files", describe the three-dimensional distribution
of tissue oxygen content. They come as binary data cubes, much like the
CT cubes. The three dimensions are mapped linearly in the order z-y-x.
All further meta-information, such as the number of z-slices, dimensions in x and y,
data representation (integer or float, number of bytes etc.), etc. are kept in a separate corresponding
hed-file.
At the time of this writing, for the
different types of oxygenation distributions
the following conventions are foreseen:
- direct pO2 values: hed-file modality
pO2
,
binary file extension .po2
,
- mmHg values: to be decided,
-
PET delivering SUV's: hed-file modality
pet
,
binary file extension .pet
.
-
If the binary file extension is
.oxy
,
the actual oxygenation modality is defined in the associated hed-file.
Note, however, that these new modalities are an unofficial extension of the Voxelplan conventions.
An example for a PET-related hed
-file is here.
