SATAN "How-To..."

Create an analysis program

  1. Pickup your favorite text editor and write the source code as described in the section on analysis procedures. Lets assume your source file is named myanal.spp.
  2. Compile and link using the satmake utility:
    satmake myanal
    
  3. Run your executable by just typing
    satan myanal
    

Recycle a SATAN/MVS analysis program

  1. Pickup your favorite text editor and rewrite the source code as described in the section on SATAN/MVS legacies. Lets assume your source file is named myanal.spp.
  2. Compile and link using the satmake utility:
    satmake myanal
    
  3. Run your executable by just typing
    satan myanal
    

Recycle a SATAN/VMS analysis program

  1. Pickup your favorite text editor and rewrite the source code as described in the section on SATAN/VMS legacies. Lets assume your source file is named myanal.spp.
