Documentation Search Service Error - "Host not Found"

Environment

OS Level: AIX 4.3.0

Problem

When Documentation Search Service is set up, the search works correctly. However, after you click on the link to view the result, the URL will not include the hostname.

This is a documented problem when accessing a machine without DNS configured. The problem will appear when a search is attempted and the returned items cannot be accessed. The URL information may also appear as http://doc_link/, which indicates that the hostname could not be obtained.

Solution

This problem is corrected with APAR IX75072 (AIX version 4.3 only).

1. Install APAR IX75072.
2. Reboot the machine.
3. Enter the following to reconfigure the Web server:

   	smitty web_configure
