mksysb Takes Long to Create the bootimage On Tape

Problem

When creating a mksysb backup, it takes twelve hours to create the bootimage on tape.

Solution

To fix this problem, ensure that the option Use DEVICE BUFFERS during write is set to yes. Also, make certain that the bosboot command runs to disk.
