Installp Lexical Error 0503-216 at AIX Version 4

Environment

Problem

Attempts to make any installation from the CD-ROM or from the install directory return error 0503-216:

	0503-216 installp : A lexical error occurred for bos.rte
 	4.2.1.0
 	on line 29, column 6.
 	One of the following was expected instead of *corqq:
 	*prereq, *coreq, *instreq, or *ifreq.
 	Use local problem reporting procedures.

Solution

Execute the following commands:

 	export ODMDIR=/usr/lib/objrepos
 	odmget -q lpp_name=bos.rte product > file1

Check file1 for a *corqq entry. If you find one, change it to *coreq and save the file. Then execute:

 	odmdelete -q lpp_name=bos.rte -o product
 	odmadd file1

Then install bos.rte.install 4.2.1.4.
