Running update_all from Command Line Fails at AIX 4.2.1

Environment

OS Level: 4.2.1
Type/Model: c10

Problem

An attempt to run update_all from the command line fails.

More specifically, this command fails: 

	usr/lib/instl/sm_inst installp_cmd -a -d <device>
	   -f _update_all -c -N -g -X.

The error it produces is as follows: 

	/usr/lib/instl/sm_inst[73]: _update_all: 0403-016
	   Cannot find or open the file.

Solution

Update the fileset bos.sysmgt.smit to 4.2.1.2. Running update_all should now work fine.
