TRiP98 FAQ: How to merge raster scanner files
Equivalent
rst
-files, that is, with equal beam direction,
and equal scanner stepsize can be merged in order to reduce the
number of fields.
First, in the UNIX shell
cat 1.rst 2.rst >cat.rst
Remove the second fileheader and correct the #submachines
to the sum of the single values.
Then, in TRiP98:
sis <sistable> /read
rst cat.rst /read
rst merge.rst /write reverseorder
will create a new valid rst
-file.
Note that the SIS
-table must exist before writing the rst-files.
