Compilation (V3.5,V3.7)

1. Run the configure script, e.g.

               # for native C compiler
   ./configure CC=cc --prefix=/tmp/joe-3.7 CFLAGS="-O2 -D_THREAD_SAFE -D_LARGE_FILES"
   

2. compile and install

   make
   make install
   

Installation/Configuration

• The environment variable JOETERM may be set to override TERM settings.
• Local settings in .joerc, examples in etc/joe
