Compilation

Needs glib, ncurses or slang (preferrable).

Needs glib 2.8.x minimum, recommended version >>=2.14.x. Further prerequisites:

In configure the check for the native compiler seems to be buggy, the non-GCC branch should rather look like
```
   GCC=
   ac_c_werror_flag=yes
```
in order to avoid those funny -W parameters to be applied.
Note:
mc creates several scripts in subdirectories which mimick filesystem commands (mkdir, ...). If these commands are accidentally executed (for example during the install step), it surely will wreak havoc on the build procedure. Typically it will create as many processes as the system allows and then will hang forever (../../../../config/install-sh -c -d libexec/mc/fish). So be dead sure to exclude the current directory (. (dot)) from the command path ($PATH).
One might prefer gmake over the native make, otherwise the build may hang or produce odd results.
