Purpose

Write comments from file header or user input into the upper left corner of the current picture

Parameters

comment

Up to 78 characters of comment to be written into the current picture.

file

The comment from the current file header is written into the current picture.

on

Write the specified comment(s) not only into the present picture, but also into the following pictures.

off

Stop automatic writing of comment from both, user input and file header.

debug

Debug switch. Lots of output !

Function

Remarks

Several lines of comment may be written by several succesive calls of this command. The lines are synchronized with those written by the command FRESULT/GRAPHIC. The keyword on has only effect on the comment simultaneously specified. The keyword off, however, stops automatic writing of any comment. If GOOSY raw data are analyzed, the file header contains the VMS file name (instead of the tape file number in case of EDAS data). If necessary, the VMS file name is truncated from the left to 32 characters in case of a one-dimensional or live display, or to 15 characters in case of a two-dimensional display.

dcom "SATAN'S WORK" / ON
Write the text SATAN'S WORK as comment on the present and all following pictures. 
DCOM  /  FILE
The actual file header information is written into the current display. It is not automatically written into the following pictures. 
DCOM  /  OFF
Stop writing of any comment.
