Purpose
Mark windows in the current one-dimensional spectrum
display and write the sum of counts into the graphic
screen
Parameters
w1 w2
-
Window identifiers.
The windows from
'w1'
to 'w2'
in
alphabetic order are marked and evaluated. Valid window identifiers are
- a letter : display window
- a number : analyzer condition
- # : temporary window
If 'w2'
is omitted, only window 'w1'
is affected.
If 'w1'
and 'w2'
are omitted, the window of the last
specified type (analyzer condition or display window),
following the previous one in numerical or alphabetic
order, respectively, is marked.
static
-
For n-dimensional analyzers with
n > 1
only:
the access mode requested when summing up the counts within
the window(s).
In the static
mode,
the window limits for all dimensions are taken from the window data structure,
independent of the actual projection limits.
Default:
The dynamic mode.
In this mode, a display window corresponds to a display window
of a one-dimensional spectrum. Its contents is evaluated by
summing up the displayed spectrum counts between the
corresponding limits in the displayed dimension.
all
-
The spectrum is displayed with the analyzer limits, and
each specified window is marked.
Not yet implemented.
expand
-
If only one window (
'w1'
) was specified: the spectrum
segment defined by this window is shown.
If
all
or
expand
was specified, the displayed dimension and the projection limits - if relevant - are
not affected and taken from the previous display.
If
all
and
expand
are omitted, the required
window(s) are marked in the actual display, and the
following keywords are meaningless.
Not yet implemented.
lin
-
Linear y-axis.
log
-
Logarithmic y-axis.
sqrt
-
Square root y-axis.
If neither LIN
, LOG
nor SQRT
is specified, the
y-axis refers to the global mode. Startup default is a
linear y-axis.
auto
-
Automatic y-scaling.
fix
-
Fixed y-scaling.
If AUTO
and FIX
are omitted,
y-scaling is determined by the global mode. Startup default is automatic
scaling.
debug
-
Debug switch. Lots of output !
Function
Remarks
For n-dimensional display windows or conditions two modes are available:
- In the static mode, a window is interpreted as a
fixed n-dimensional segment of the analyzer spectrum ('static window'). Its contents is independent
of the displayed dimension and of the projection
limits of the actual display.
- In the dynamic mode, a window is only defined by
the window limits in the actually displayed dimension. Evaluating its contents, the window limits
along the not displayed dimensions (the 'projection
limits'), are taken from the actual display. The
contents of a dynamic display window therefore depends on the specific display environment.
For one-dimensional analyzers, there is no difference
between the static and the dynamic mode.
The contents of a display window or a condition is independent of the actual display bin size.
Examples
DGW 3 N / ALL
The whole spectrum is redrawn and all windows identified by numbers greater or equal than 3 (conditions)
and letters up to N
(display windows) are marked. Their
contents is individually summed up and displayed on the
graphic screen.
If the current analyzer has more than one dimension,
the currently displayed dimension will be redrawn with
the current projection limits. The contents of the
specified conditions and windows is evaluated in
dynamic mode by summing up the displayed counts within
the corresponding limits.
DGW 3 N / ALL
The same windows as in the previous example are marked
and evaluated in static mode. As projection limits,
however, the limits from the window data structures
(and not from the actual display environment) are used.
DGW / EXP
In the previous example, the last window accessed was
the display window N
(if existing). So the spectrum is
redrawn within the limits of the next available display
window, which may be O
, e.g., or A
!
In case of an n-dimensional analyzer, the displayed dimension and the projection limits remain valid.
