Purpose

Set global graphic attributes

Parameters

fixscale

The picture is mapped onto the picture space (display screen or plot area) true to scale, preserving the original ratio of picture width and height ('fixed aspect ratio').
Not yet implemented.

distorted

The picture will cover the entire picture space independent of the original aspect ratio, possibly causing a distorted output.
All SATAN pictures are originally created with a width of 360 mm and a height of 270 mm. Startup scaling mode is distorted.
Not yet implemented.

size(p)

For plotters only: Global size (width and height) of the plot area, given by two numbers interpreted as millimeters or by a DIN format specification. If either width or height are omitted, the missing length is calculated using the original picture aspect ratio. Startup default is a size of 240 by 180 mm.

agfp(dsn)

Data set name for AGF-plotfiles.
Obsolete.

gnom(dsn)

Data set name for GNOM objects.
Obsolete.

colour(c)

List of up to ten system colour indices, which are assigned to the logical numbers 1 to 10 (colour look-up table). Valid system colour indices are Alternatively, direct RGB compositions can be used.

width(w)

List of up to ten line widths in units of millimeters (0 means the smallest available width), which are assigned to the logical numbers 1 to 10 (width look-up table).

line(l)

List of up to ten system line type indices, which are assigned to the logical numbers 1 to 10 (line type look-up table). Valid line types are

marker(m)

List of up to ten system marker indices, which are assigned to the logical numbers 1 to 10 (marker look-up table). Some valid symbol numbers are

msize(s)

List of up to ten marker sizes in units of millimeters assigned to the logical marker numbers 1 to 10. By this keyword the marker sizes can directly be specified, using non-integer values and without affecting the other attributes.

font(f)

List of up to ten system text font indices, which are assigned to the logical numbers 1 to 10 (text font look-up table).
Not yet implemented.

debug

Debug switch. Lots of output !

Function

Remarks

The logical no. 1 is internally used for some graphic attributes like colour, width, and text font, of parts of SATAN displays. By default, the scatter plots of the live display are drawn using the logical marker no. 1. Thus a change of marker no. 1 may considerably slow down the execution of the live display. Note: Width, marker size, and dash and gap length of lines, are absolute quantities; they are not transformed according to the actual plot size. If the command is given without any keyword, the actual attributes and look-up tables are listed.

Examples

DATTR / line(,,d) colour(,r,)
Set the third entry in the linetype lookup table to dashed and the second entry in the colour lookup table to red.
