Description

This hotfix addresses the following issue:

In Performance Monitor, the following WinStation object 
counters had the wrong descriptions and were changed to the
following:

1.  ORIGINAL COUNTER NAME - Input Compressed Bytes
    ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION  - Number of bytes input after 
                            compression. This number compared 
                            with the total bytes input is the
                            compression ratio. 

    UPDATED COUNTER NAME  - Input Bytes Decompressed
    UPDATED DESCRIPTION   - Number of bytes input after 
                            decompression. This number compared 
                            with the input bytes is the 
                            compression ratio.

2.  ORIGINAL COUNTER NAME - Output Compressed Bytes
    ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION  - Number of bytes output after 
                            compression. This number compared
                            with the total bytes output is the
                            compression ratio. 

    UPDATED NAME          - Output Bytes Compressed
    UPDATED DESCRIPTION   - Number of bytes output before 
                            compression. This number compared
                            with the output bytes is the
                            compression ratio.

3.  ORIGINAL NAME         - Total Compressed Bytes
    ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION  - Total number of bytes after 
                            compression. This number compared 
                            with the total bytes is the 
                            compression ratio. 

    UPDATED NAME          - Total Bytes Compressed
    UPDATED DESCRIPTION   - Total number of bytes compressed.
                            This number compared with the total
                            bytes is the compression ratio.
    
4.  ORIGINAL NAME         - Total WdBytes
    ORIGNAL DESCRIPTION   - Total number of bytes on this 
                            WinStation after all protocol
                            overhead has been removed. 

    UPDATED NAME          - Total WdBytes
    UPDATED DESCRIPTION   - Total number of bytes on this 
                            WinStation without any protocol 
                            overhead (same title with different
                            description).
    
5.  ORIGINAL NAME         - Total Bytes
    ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION  - Total number of bytes on this 
                            WinStation that includes all protocol
                            overhead. 

    UPDATED NAME          - Total Bytes
    UPDATED DESCRIPTION   - Total number of bytes on this 
                            WinStation that includes all protocol 
                            overhead with the effect of 
                            compression included (same title
                            with different description).
    
6.  ORIGINAL NAME         - Output Bytes
    ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION  - Number of bytes output on this 
                            WinStation that includes all protocol
                            overhead. 

    UPDATED NAME          - Output Bytes
    UPDATED DESCRIPTION   - Number of bytes output on this 
                            WinStation that includes all protocol
                            overhead, with the effect of 
                            compression included (same title 
                            with different description).

1. Copy SE17B044.EXE to an empty directory on your hard disk and
   execute the command:

   SE17B044

2. Execute the following command to install the hotfix on your 
   system:

   HOTFIX /I

3. Shut down and restart your computer.
