Purpose
Interface to the operating system.
Parameters
cmd

Command to be sent to the operating system.
Note that this implies opening a new shell.
If
cmd is omitted a new shell
is presented. You return to your session prompt
by typing exit or return.

none
Examples
shell vi myfile.gd
Calls the UNIX editor vi to change a file from within
your session.
