The x-values assigned to each bin may be redefined by command FXCAL.
A linear calibration is performed either by giving the coefficients explicitly
or by a least squares fit to a set of new values and corresponding channel numbers.
Besides the major application to obtain an implicit transformation of fit results,
calibration may be used to avoid overflows in numerical computations
by reducing the x-values by orders of magnitude
